Kintsugi OT was founded to offer something different. Occupational therapy that is grounded, outcome focused and centred on what really matters to the person. After years working across WorkCover, aged care and DVA, I saw too many clients overwhelmed by complexity, jargon or rigid systems. I wanted to build a service that felt human, not clinical. One that is practical, flexible and genuinely helpful.

At Kintsugi OT, we work with adults and adolescents aged 16 and over, providing functional assessments, sensory modulation and short term targeted therapy to build real world skills. Our support is collaborative and strengths based. We help people develop routines, confidence and independence in the areas that impact them most such as getting out into the community or managing daily life at home.

What sets us apart is not just what we do but how we do it. We use a neuro affirming, trauma informed approach and work alongside our clients, not above them. You bring the lived experience. We bring the tools, structure and strategies.

The name Kintsugi comes from the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold. It reflects our belief that people are not broken. They are resilient. Our role is to walk beside them, helping to build capacity and create change that sticks.

I’m an occupational therapist with a decade of experience supporting adults and adolescents to navigate challenges and live more independently. I graduated with honours from the University of Newcastle in 2015 and began my career in WorkCover, aged care and DVA, which gave me a strong foundation across a wide range of clinical needs and life stages.

Outside of work, I’m a proud dad, gym regular and specialty coffee enthusiast. You will usually find me exploring Lake Macquarie or Redhead Beach with my wife and two daughters, coffee in hand and sneakers on.
