Occupational therapy that honours the cracks

When I first learned about kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, it stopped me in my tracks. Kintsugi does not try to hide the cracks. It fills them with gold, celebrating them as part of the object’s history and making it stronger than before.

That idea became the heart of my practice.

I have never been the kind of OT who fit neatly into the system. I became tired of watching people get lost in paperwork, bounced between services, and worn down by processes that made life harder instead of easier. I wanted to build something that focused on putting the pieces back together with respect, with clarity and with a plan that actually works in real life.

At Kintsugi OT we deliver sharp, practical reports that cut through the noise. We do functional capacity assessments, assistive technology, home and living (SIL/ SDA), sensory processing, and home modifications. Our reports are clear, actionable and built to get supports in place. No padding. No waffle. Just recommendations that work.

We work only with adults. Our approach is neuroaffirming and trauma informed. We work with people, not on them. You bring the lived experience. We bring structure, insight and a plan that makes sense.

Outside of work I am a dad, a gym regular and a specialty coffee enthusiast. Most weekends you will find me hiking off grid with my wife and two daughters, coffee in hand and no reception, taking the time to slow down and reset.

If you are looking for OT assessments that are grounded, blunt and outcome focused, we are here. No drama. No fluff. Just straight up useful OT.

Referrals are simple. Hit the referrals page, fill in the form and we will handle the rest.
