Meet Nic

Family of four sitting at picnic table in a park with a scenic background.

I run an autistic led occupational therapy service supporting neurodivergent, psychosocial disability and neurological clients across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie and Australia wide via telehealth. My focus is helping autistic adults live longer healthier, more connected lives and improving employment outcomes in a system where the odds are stacked against them.

Australia’s National Autism Strategy shows autistic people face reduced life expectancy and higher rates of chronic health issues, burnout, mental health concerns and preventable hospitalisations. These gaps reflect unmet support needs, unsafe environments and years of masking and stress. My work in health promotion aims to shift these outcomes through practical routines that support daily living, wellbeing, sensory regulation, community access and long term capacity building.

Employment is another major part of my practice. ABS and National Autism Strategy data show only around 11% of autistic Australians work full time and autistic people have the lowest employment rates of any disability group. I support autistic adults with work readiness, executive functioning, sensory and social load, routines, fatigue management and the skills needed to get and keep work in a world not built for neurodivergent minds.

My clinical work is grounded in real world function. I support clients with community access, emotional regulation, executive functioning, self care, sensory strategies, home routines, social participation and independence. Everything is tailored to a person’s energy and sensory needs.

I also complete NDIS assessments including functional capacity assessments, assistive technology, sensory processing, home and living reports and home modifications. My reports are clear, direct and built for real outcomes.

Alongside client work I supervise OTs across Australia. I help clinicians build confidence with neurodivergent clients, sharpen functional reasoning, improve assessment quality and create sustainable profitable private practice rhythms. I also mentor solo practitioners running lean, intentional services.

Outside work you will find me lifting weights, hiking, making coffee or practising yoga. I live slowly and deliberately. This keeps me grounded and helps me show up fully for the people I support.

If you want neurodivergent-led, neuro-affirming, practical evidence informed OT with a focus on real outcomes in health and employment for autistic adults I am here to help.
